A problem with water tanks is behind a fault which has put all of Birmingham New Street’s toilets out of action.

Passengers were unable to use the facilities this morning (23 February) due to the problem.

A Network Rail spokesperson said the issue was caused by tanks which collect rain water that is used in the toilets.

They added: “Engineers are working on solving the problem now, and hope to have them working again by midday.”
